As of September 4, 2009, the current count for Cell Phones collected at the VVA events is 699 since June of 2008. From the attachment, you can see that overseas calls for the troops can cost anywhere from $7 to $8 per minute. Even at the low end at $7 per minute, that's 699 phones X 60 minutes (each phone is worth 60 minutes of talk time) X $7 per minute = $293,580.00 in talk time! How amazing is that?
