Now through Good Friday
VVA Chapter 528 and VFW Post 6695 join forces every year to offer the community special Fish Fries. Our chapter helps preparing the event, cutting up the fish, frying the fish and french frys, serving, KP duty, and general clean-up. The community really enjoys coming to our fish frys. Co-Chairing the Fish Fries this year are Ted Enright and Eugene Spurgess.
Starting on February 19th, VFW Post 6695 is hosting Lenten Season Fish Frys every Friday in the VFW Hall. Doors will open at 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Come on in and enjoy the best fish fry in town. Doors open from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. We will be serving fried fish, baked fish, and chicken strips again this year. Fish is fried in peanut oil. Besides fish or chicken strips you also will receive cole slaw, roll and butter, choice of baked potatos, french fries, or macaroni and cheese. Children portions are also available $6.00 for 2 pieces. The price for the fish and chicken dinners again this year is $8.00. Child's portion (2 pieces) for only $6.00. 5 pieces for $9.00.
