"Never Again Will One Generation Of Veterans Abandon Another"

    Wayne County Fishing Derby

    Dean Bell, C0-Chair

    Bear, Co-Chair

Every year our Chapter along with Wayne County Parks and Recreation offer residents of Wayne County the chance to fish for newly stocked Rainbow Trout. This annual event is one of the most enjoyable of the year. Literally hundreds of kids from ages 1 month to 12 years are allowed to fish for free – without a fishing license. Three prizes are given to kids from three different age groups for a total of 9 prizes. Our Chapter also provides a mounting of the largest fish caught to the winner at one of our General Meetings.. This event is usually shown on local TV stations. Take a look at the some of the photos displayed on this page.
